We live on the third rock from the sun
Our lives are but a spec in her great run
An asteroid could wipe us out
And she’d spin on, without a doubt
We live on land in borrowed time
Without our impact, she’ll do fine
Our lives are pointless in the grand scheme
How lucky we were to come into being
A trillion worlds, and she is ours
We didn’t spawn on Venus or Mars
The temps are suitable for life
Until our pollution causes strife
We should enjoy her while we’re here
Relish every tree, bird, and deer
Leave no trail, leave no mess
Earth will take care of the rest.
