Today I saw a dinosaur
Just lumbering away
I had to stop and rub my eyes
It really made my day
It showed up for a birthday gig
Then left without a word
When my eyes first spotted it
My brain thought, “that’s absurd!”
Today I saw a dinosaur
How I wish that it was real
I can’t describe the feeling
That its presence made me feel
I felt just like a kid again
Full of wonder, hope, and glee
