Fleas

I was sick of these vermin.
These greedy bloodsuckers, taking taking taking.
I tried coming at them with chemicals. They persisted, even managing to turn my chemicals against me.
I tried drowning them. They shook themselves dry, and continued along with their parasitic nature.
I fought them with fire, with air, but somehow they clung to life.
It was going to take something bigger than that. Short of cleaving myself in two and melting them all in hellfire, I had only one choice left.
So, I began to shake.
I shook and I shook, and all shook with me.
They were thrashed violently about in water.
They were murdered by ash and fire.
They choked on their chemicals and fumes, created by my own blood.
It took years of constant attention, but finally, with one last tremble, I was free of them.
Free of the human race.
