An Ode to Sleep  Post 3 of 10

I’ve been dreaming all my life

What a joy it brings me too

To navigate the cosmos

From the comfort of my room

I’m curled beneath my blankets

On my pillow rests my head

Nowhere brings me more solace

Than my comfy cozy bed

I’ll climb in bed at nighttime

Or in daytime for a nap

And drift off in my slumber

When my consciousness has wrapped

My body can recover

And my brain can be refreshed

While I plunge into dreamland

Where my psyche knows me best

Alas, my eyes must open

And I’ll rise to face the day

While I count down all the hours

Until sleep whisks me away.
